“No action, no change. Limited action, limited change. Lots of action – change occurs.” – Catherine Pulsifer, artist and writer
If you care about the fate of Bukit Brown, please do something. Tell your friends and family about the cemetery, sign our open letter to save it, write to the authorities stating your views – these are just a few things you can do to start the ball rolling.
We also are looking for Malay & Tamil translators for the petition, and also economists/ sociologists/ architects/ civil engineers/ environmental engineers etc who are willing & able to do a pro bono public cost-benefit analysis of Bukit Brown’s proposed destruction. As far as we know, this has not been done, or at least not made public.
Get in touch with us at <sosbukitbrown@gmail.com>, a mixed bag of Singaporeans and Singapore residents who are passionate about saving Bukit Brown from destruction, to share ideas and take action. If we stay silent, the rich history and verdant beauty of Bukit Brown will simply give way to the urban sprawl of roads, houses and shopping malls that is the rest of Singapore.
Bukit Brown, once lost, is lost forever.
Save our heritage!!
